Befriending Christ: Lenten and Easter Retreat in Daily Life
Eight weeks of prayer in the dynamic of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises
5 March – 23 April 2024
Meeting in small groups each Wednesday.
This new eight-week retreat in daily life through the 2025 Lenten/Easter period offers a frame in which graces of the Spiritual Exercises might be experienced and embodied: Season One (knowing oneself as divinely loved); Season Two (choosing to follow the divine calling which is the calling to be Christ in the world; Season Three (choosing to companion Jesus compassionately as he goes though his torment and death) and Season Four (welcoming and celebrating the transformative Divine power to bring life from grave experiences). This retreat therefore honours every created thing in the course of the life, death, and resurrection cycle.
As in the text Grace upon Grace: Savouring the Spiritual Exercises through the Arts, this retreat embraces the arts, believing that the arts soften barriers to grace. Various artistic suggestions invite each retreatant to create in their unique way.
You are invited to participate in an eight-week Lenten/Easter Retreat, focused on prayer and spiritual growth, held in daily life. This retreat begins on on Ash Wednesday. We will gather online for approximately 90 minutes each Wednesday for spiritual conversation and group spiritual direction in small groups.
The cost of the retreat will be $395 AUD. For more information you can contact Kardia for more information or download an Lenten Easter Retreat Application 2025
